Social Media and Everything In Between

August 5, 2020 3 min read 10 Comments

Hey y’all, I’m here with some exciting news!

If you haven’t heard yet, it’s my blogiversary month and I can’t help but reflect plus express how much I appreciate each and every one of you for helping me develop and grow my blog. Your generous comments as well as invaluable feedback  truly is its cornerstone.  So, it should come as no surprise that  I can wholeheartedly say I’m beyond blessed and ecstatic to have y’all here!

Now for some exciting news, drum roll, please… I wanted to return the favor of support by starting a Facebook group called Social Media and Everything in Between.  It will be an added resource in your girl boss arsenal to help us grow our blogs + connect even more!

After being in countless Facebook & Twitter groups where I always felt like something was missing, that “missing” ingredient inspired me to create a space where we can have a community to lift one another up, provide tips + useful insights, share business ups and downs, while also getting in some networking as we meet other biz-oriented gals!

Sounds appealing right? Here’s why should you join!

DAILY SOCIAL MEDIA THREADS

In the group, you’ll find daily threads for social media (Insta, FB, Twitter, Pinterest) + blog engagement to help you not only grow, but be more engaged in the process while supporting plus connecting with other like-minded ladies.

Another great incentive?  All niches are welcome.  Hopefully, as we keep building on that foundation, we can expand to other platforms and or areas that you would specifically like  to focus on!  Yep, we got you!

SELF-PROMO

Unlike many groups that have a strict No Self-Promo policy, you won’t find that here. In fact, I WANT us to promote our blogs or any  other endeavors we’re working on!

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE

Have a question related to blogging, social media, or anything biz-related? Post it on the main wall for people to chime in! Don’t worry, as long as your post does not break any (common courtesy) rules, it will be approved quickly so you can receive prompt feedback.

Remember, this is your safe-zone so there are no dumb question. Ask away!

CRAZY AWESOME SCHEDULE

Each day of the week, there will be Follow and Engagement threads dedicated to a specific social media platform. For example, some of the posts for Instagram will look like this:

While the posts for Twitter can look like this:

On the weekends, you’ll have a chance to get connected with the Network thread plus share anything you’re working on with the Self-Promo thread.

As the group gets bigger, I plan on adding some “niche” specific threads (think Entrepreneurs, Financial Literacy, Motherhood, Caregivers,  Adventurists…the skies the limit; all to make it easier for us to network.

Bonus. Everyday will be dedicated to EVERY social media platform (i.e. Monday: Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Blog).

So, make sure you invite others to join the group so we can make this happen!

This can be an amazing resource on the road to further achieving our business dreams.  So if you’re interested, I can’t wait to see your feedback and see you there!

What are your thoughts on this new Facebook group?

I think this seems like a much more doable schedule to maintain for promoting. It is also nice to get to see what other people are working on.

Woot woot for a doable schedule! So glad you think so because feedback like this really helps for the future!

  • Amanda August 6, 2020 at 9:55 pm

    Sounds like a great resource!

    • annaelleliz August 7, 2020 at 2:26 pm

I sure hope it turns out to be! Can’t wait to see it grow and connect with other boss women!

  • TIsha August 6, 2020 at 12:24 pm

Great schedule! That way you’re not overloaded and your following isn’t overloaded also. Great insight!

    • annaelleliz August 6, 2020 at 6:30 pm

*happy dancing* So glad to hear the schedule works! Literally the most nerve-wracking part was trying to figure out how to keep people engaged but give me a break too ?.

  • Monica August 6, 2020 at 12:14 am

Sounds like a very helpful resource for people. I like the schedule you created too.

    • annaelleliz August 6, 2020 at 6:26 pm

You are too sweet! Making the schedule was such a hair-puller, so to hear the schedule works is amazing!

  • Mama ‘N Chief August 6, 2020 at 12:09 am

We can all use support as bloggers and influencers. This is a great concept!

    • annaelleliz August 6, 2020 at 6:25 pm

Right! The blogger/influencer world is such a learn-as-you-go process, so hopefully, this can help us! Thanks so much for the kind words!

Wow...It's been a while hasn't it? Let's see, where to begin?
•
Well, this time last year, something felt really at odds with my spirit. I realized I needed a break from  social media— more so a break from Anna Elle Liz.
•
Believe it or not, I don’t particularly like spending a heckuva lot of  time on social media. For me, I've found that I’m more drained rather than replenished my when get my scroll on (hmmmp…  maybe someday I'll write  a blog post on that — Navigating Social Media When You Don't Really Like Social Media).Throw in all the viewing, reading, watching & clicking  - and a recipe for a major timeout was brewing.
•
Nuturing my personal and creative life, my growth made it clear that meeting the demands of Anna Elle Liz was something I could no longer do with the same excitement and vigor I once did.
 •
So, all this to say that Anna Elle Liz will be back (you know I can't miss out on Fall content) but at a slower and less scheduled pace.
•
You must also know that I can't even think about a return without extending a super big thank you to all of the kind followers/supporters who've patiently waited with me,  during my hiatus.
•
Cheers to you! Cheers to re-starting content again! And, cheer to reaching 3-years of Anna Elle Liz with y.o.u.

We all know about the stars of Thanksgiving…the main characters, turkey and ham. But what about the supporting cast, the secondary stars of the show; the side dishes. I mean without the sides, can the main dishes even shine?
·
The stuffing, the creamy mashed potatoes, the corn on the cob, the green bean casserole, the mac ’n’ cheese, … yep, I can take this train to foreverville. For now, I present you with a definitive and completely non-subjective ranking of some of my favorite Thanksgiving side dishes!
·
If you could only eat one dish for Thanksgiving, what would it be?

Name a more perfect fall photo 🍎
·
I love me some pumpkin, but apples are another great fall staple. And there's something about going apple picking with a basket and plaid scarf that feels like I'm fresh out of a New England town.

It’s that time of year when our thoughts turn to Thanksgiving and the day that is set aside to feel thankful for what we have.
·
But how can we turn gratitude into a daily habit instead of a once-a-year holiday obligation?
·
By recognizing the abundance we already have…our family, our relationships, our material things that bring us comfort and our memories, dreams, and hopes.
·
Our lives can be enriched so much if we take the time to be thankful and see the good in all that we have.
